Baye Mahanta Diop is a performer, composer, arranger, and one of Senegal's most prominent musicians. With a mastery of West African rhythmic and lead guitar, and a style that includes West, Central and Southern Africa, jazz, fusion and afrobeat, he is truly an international modern musician.  Diop has recorded and performed with renowned artists including Cheikh Lo, Manou Dibango, Papa Wemba, Angelique Kidjo, Tandishwa Mazouay, Dawn Padmore and many others. He has performed in major cities and at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, in festivals such as GlobalFest in NYC and Washington DC and the New Orleans Jazz Festival; the Sukiyaki Festival in Japan; and world tours that have taken him to countries throughout Africa, Asia and Europe.
